We pray through the intercession of Our Lady and St (Padre) Pio. During our healing prayer we offer thanks to the Lord for making us channels of His Healing, Love, Compassion and Peace and giving us the Gifts to heal in His Name.
Healing in the name of Jesus is all in the giving Giving freely and expecting no reward. Giving for the sake of giving. Giving God's healing, flowing through our emptiness.
We give as the flowers breathe their fragrance into empty space. Through our hands God heals, through our lips God speaks and from behind our eyes He smiles upon those who seek His help.
As a result of prayer, God grants restored health of mind and body to some
to others He grants inner healing and new freedom in the Spirit
to others He grants interior grace to unite their suffering with the sufferings of Christ.
The message for all of us is a message of great hope.
Praying face to face, on the phone or through email, all are equally effective when praying through the power of the Holy Spirit for healing in the Name of Jesus.
"I tell you most solemnly whoever believes in Me will perform the same works as I do myself, he will perform even greater works because I am going to the Father" (John14: 12)
We, Patrick Lynch and Alison Riggott, formed "The Healing Light Ministry" after a pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 2005 to, in the words of St Francis of Assissi: "heal wounds, unite what has fallen apart, and bring back home those who have lost their way."
We were asked during a pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 2007 to pray especially for healing for all who have had abortions and in 2009 we were asked to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for someone about to die in Mortal Sin - that this soul may be granted, by the Mercy of God, the Grace of Final Repentance unto salvation
Both of us were and still are involved in caring for the Sick, the Housebound, the Elderly, the Alone and the Lonely
Our Spiritual and Healing gifts were developed in very different ways:
Alison had a powerful experience of receiving the Holy Spirit into her life over 30 years ago.
She prays with discernment, sometimes receiving a Word of Knowledge as to what to pray for, or feels the need, or "sees" the need in the face of the other.
Patrick became involved in prayer for healing after his own recovery from cancer in 2000 He can physically feel the pain of another in his own body, and knows the area of the body that requires prayer through the heat or tingling felt in his fingers and this is confirmed by Alison thought her special gifts.
The pain or illness manifests itself through Patrick's body - shaking in his hands and limbs - sometimes he takes the pain from the other and a bruise, swelling or actual pain remains in his own body for some time.
This happens regardless of whether praying face to face, on the phone or through Email.
We are both used, as is so often the case, to pray for people with needs which we have personally experienced, they cover quite a lot between us! - addiction, relationship problems, cancer, back and leg pain, abdominal pain, depression, fertility, children, family, and emotional pain.We visit groups and parishes as and when requested.

Alison writes
I have heard the Voice of God six times in my life to date, four of these in Medjugorje.
Once on Podboro, I was sitting on a rock and telling God that of course it was a privilege to bring people here, but I had been so busy caring for them that I had not got as much out of the pilgrimage as usual. I was having a bit of a moan really. Immediately, a voice of authority in my head clearly said Some people need consoling and some are consolers. Will you be one of my consolers? I was quite shaken and totally transformed. Yes Lord, of course I will! .
Another time while saying the Fatima Prayer I was given to understand Save us from the fires of hell is to save from the flames of hell licking around your ankles every day
While climbing Krusevec in my bare feet I found it incredibly difficult. After the fourth station where Mary meets Jesus, the pain was intense. I had a glimpse of His suffering and tried to offer it up but each step brought such pain and took my breath away. Then I simply could not move, could not put one foot in front of another. I was prevented from moving. I sat down on a stone and listened to Jesus.
I choose your path in life, for some I choose a path of Suffering because in the Suffering they find Me.
But for you I choose Joy. Not all can find Me in Joy.
Just as I cannot learn through Suffering as Patrick can, I can learn of His Love and Joy through other gifts and use them in our Healing Ministry
